Brielle is 9 months

This little one is getting around the house.  She is an expert crawler and is in a different room before I even know it.  She is easily entertained with toys on the floor and her sisters love to make her laugh. She continues to be an easy, sweet, happy baby.  She rarely, if ever cries, eats great and sleeps great, seriously a dream baby.  She is on a great schedule; she goes to bed at 7pm, gets up around 7 am, takes an hour nap around 9:30 and then a 2 hour nap around 12:30. She has a 6 oz bottle at 7, 11, 4, and 7pm and eats solids at 8am, noon, 5:30, and 6:45.  I love having a baby with a schedule.

She had her 2 bottom middle teeth come through.  She is such an easy baby, I didn't even realize it at first because there was no crying or fussiness!

She met Santa this past month, saw the lights at Thanksgiving Point, and had a few bites of Haagen Daaz ice cream thanks to Daddy.  It's been a fun month and we are excited for her first Christmas!!

Brielle is 7 months

This little one continues to bring so much joy and happiness to our lives.  She is such a happy, fun, easy going baby.

Food:  She has been eating lots of different types of baby food and rice cereal.  She has tried yogurt melts and cheerio puffs a few times, but she wasn't very interested so she hasn't had it much.  She likes all fruits and vegetables; there hasn't been a food she won't eat.  She seemed to have a hard time eating a different food with each meal, so now she sticks to the same food all day and then gets something different the next day.  She is still nursing during the day, she eats when she wakes up around 8 then again at lunch around 12, then 4 and 7 pm before bed.  She also gets rice cereal and baby food at 8, 12, and 6.

Travel:  She flew with me to Seattle to visit Celeste.  She was great on the plane and slept both there and back.  She was super easy and just hung out in the stroller as we did a lot of sight seeing.  Everywhere we went people commented on her and how cute she was.  There aren't a lot of people with babies in Seattle, quite the opposite of Utah!  We also took a trip to Bryce Canyon.  You did an awesome job in the car and we had a fun family trip.

Sleep:  She takes 2 naps/day around 10am and then again 1:30 or 2.  If one of her naps gets interrupted because of scheduling then she takes a short evening nap.  She had a couple week period where she was waking up several times/night and I would go in her room and give her a binkie.  It was getting ridiculous and I was so tired in the morning.  I started keeping her food the same all day and then I let her cry herself to sleep at night.  The first day I did that she slept through the night.  It was awesome.  She's been sleeping 12 hours/night (7:30pm-7:30am) since then.  It's been heavenly.

Your check-up went well.  Everything looked healthy.  You didn't like the shots though, you were fussy for a couple of days. 

I always feel bad because you get woken up from so many naps to go pick your sisters up from various activities.

Bryce Canyon

Mike's friend, Sam Noel, was finishing the Grand 2 Grand Race, which is a 177 week long foot race.  The race would be finishing near Bryce Canyon, so we decided it would be a fun family vacation to go watch him cross the finish line and spend some time in Bryce.  Izzy was super excited that she got to miss school on Friday.  Matt was also in town, so he came down with us.  We loaded up Friday morning and headed down.

When we got there we ate lunch and then went into Bryce.  First, we went to Bryce Point.  The views were breathtaking.  I had never seen anything like that.  We did some hiking and walking around, but we weren't really dressed for hiking, so we headed to the Best Western Plus hotel.

The girls had been begging to swim, so we headed to the pool and then grabbed dinner.

After dinner we went back into Bryce and went to Sunset Point; the view was still gorgeous.

We headed back to the hotel, put the kids to bed and watched a movie.  They were so excited to all be sleeping in the same room, they thought the hotel was pretty cool.  There was a pull out couch for Matt to sleep on and fortunately the bathroom was huge so we were able to put Brielle's pack n play in there.

Saturday morning Mike and Matt headed to the race finish line and I stayed behind with the girls.  We went to the breakfast buffet at the hotel and then they wanted to go to the pool at 8:45 am.  We had to wait til 9 for it to open.  It was so cute watching them play in the water.  My favorite part was when they would play swim lessons and Izzy would teach Cambry how to swim.  After the pool we walked to the local shops.  They played in the pretend jail, rode the horse, and ate ice cream.

She can find a horse wherever she goes.

Around noon we met up with Mike and Matt and went back into Bryce to do some more hiking around Sunset Point.  The views were spectacular and I'm sure we will go back in the future, especially because Izzy didn't get to go horseback riding.  She wanted to so bad, but she had to be 7 because of insurance purposes, which she did not understand. Next time...

On Sunday evening we enjoyed a nice walk to Tuscana and the girls enjoyed playing on the swings. They tried to go as high as Daddy!

Brielle is 6 months

This little girl continues to be such an easy, happy, smily, baby and I love it!! I don't want to say the transition to 3 has been easy because of course it's more time taking another kid with you, but seriously she is so chill it has made it pretty easy.

Sleep:  She is finally consistently sleeping through the night, yay!! She sometimes wakes up around 4 or 5, but I just give her a binkie and she goes back to sleep til about 7:15 when she wakes up to eat.  It is so nice to be sleeping through the night!

Food: She started rice cereal and baby food.  She eats the rice cereal in the evening and baby food in the afternoon.  The first thing she tried was pears, which she didn't seem to like, but since then she has had carrots, apples, and sweet potatoes and all of those have been successes.  She is also still nursing, but the schedule of that is changing because of the addition of solids, so one feeding has been dropped!  So she eats at: 7:30, 11, 2:30, 6:30 and then I still wake her up around 10:30pm.

She is rolling all over the place and getting up on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth and scooting back.  I think we will have a crawler soon!!

She went swimming for the first time.  Usually she just sits in her stroller and watches because I can't handle all 3 by myself, but since we had plenty of adults at the Provo Rec Center she got to join in the fun!

Brielle is 5 months

This little one is growing so fast!  She rolls all over the place, loves to laugh and smile, and is still really easy going.  Izzy loves to hold her, talk to her and make her laugh.  When I pump, Izzy always wants to feed her the bottle, which is great for me!

Firsts: She had her first camping experience in Bear Lake.  She was a champ!  We went glamping, which is glamorous camping so we had real beds, a floor, chairs, and rugs, but we were still in a tent.  When she woke up to eat around 5 her little hands were freezing so I brought her back in bed with me and she slept til 8.  I never sleep with a baby in my bed and I enjoyed cuddling with her.
We always went to Park City for a night and she got to come alone.  She is such a great baby.

Sleep:  She still isn't consistently sleeping through the night, but we will get their soon hopefully!  She had 4 nights in a row where she slept til 6:30, but is back to getting up around 4:30 or 5 to eat.  Last night she went til 6:45, let's see if that continues!

Eat: She is still exclusively breast fed.  She eats at 9am, 1, 4, 7, 10:30pm, and usually around 5 am. I plan to start solids during the next month.

We love Brielle so much!!

Brielle is 3 months

Another month has gone by.  Brielle continues to be a great baby.  She has a pretty good schedule.  She wakes up at 7:30 and eats, then eats again at 11, 3, 7, 10:30 pm and then she is still waking up once during the night around 4 and eats.  There have been a few nights she has gone til 5 or 5:30, which is awesome, so we are moving in the right direction.  She has started to not love her carseat and will cry if she isn't sleeping or if her binkie falls out. She takes about 3 naps/day-morning, afternoon, and evening.  I feel bad because often her naps are interrupted with running errands and taking Izzy and Brielle places, but she just goes with it.  She is such an easy going baby and we feel blessed to have her in our life.  Izzy and Cambry love to help out and will put her binkie in her mouth.

Weight: 14 pounds even.

She joined us at 7 Peaks and was an angel.
