Grandma and Grandpa come to visit/July 4th

On Thursday my parents flew in to visit.  Izzy was at a horse camp at Thanksgiving Point so when we picked her up we went to the animal farm.

Cambry is following in her sister's footsteps with her love of horses.
Some things never get old.
Love all the smiles!
My Mom bought these cute 4th of July outfits for the girls.  So adorable!
Cute Girls!
Love these girls of mine!
Heading into the show with Daddy.
On Friday night we went to the Stadium of Fire.  My mom stayed home with Cambry and we decided to take Izzy.  She was so excited to be a big girl and go to the big show.
She loved eating a little ice cream before the show.
So happy my Dad was able to come with us.
Carrie Underwood is absolutely amazing, especially live.  We watched her 4 years ago when she came to Stadium of Fire and she was just as good the second time around.  Her voice, passion, personality, she knows how to put on a show.  She sang Jesus takes the Wheel and then continued into Amazing Grace.  It was powerful.
The firework show was awesome!
On Saturday we took the razor up American Fork Canyon.  It was our first time taking it up and it was gorgeous.  It was crowded and dusty because of the holiday weekend, but we still had a great time.

This girl is so much fun!
On Sunday Izzy practiced riding her bike without training wheels.  She hasn't got there yet, but we will keep working.
Go Izzy Go!
Cambry decided it was time to be a big girl and ride the 4-wheeler.
Izzy taking a break from bike riding.
On Monday we went to Trafalga.  The airplanes are a favorite.

There's the huge play structure, but the gate is more fun.
Getting in a little bowling.
Even Cambry could handle the small bowling balls.
Strike!
I love riding go-carts.  It reminds me so much of my childhood!
Faster!
Monday night we walked over to get snow cones and then they flew home Tuesday.  It was one of the best trips ever.  So much fun!! I don't know why it always has to go by so fast!! I love having family visit and can't wait to see them in September!

Canada 2014

On Friday, June 20th we flew to Canada.  Our flight left at 7:30am so we woke the kids up bright and early to catch our flight.  We got there with plenty of time, but we were at the ticket counter for about 40 minutes because we had to pay the international taxes for Cambry's flight and for some reason that takes time for them to figure out.  They were doing a final boarding call as we got to our gate.  Our layover was through Detroit, which is a really nice airport, and the kids were good on the flights.
That night we enjoyed a yummy dinner on the back deck of Mami and Papi's house.  Cat and Blake had to chaperone a church dance, but their 3 kids were there.  Izzy was so happy to see her cousins.

Daddy and Cambry hanging out.
On Saturday morning Mike, Matt, and the Captain headed out on Matt's fishing boat.  Not sure they caught much, but they had a great time.

Sunday was Mike's birthday.  We went to church, hung out and ate some yummy ribs.  We had cake and ice cream.

Can't believe he is 32! Cambry is ready for her cake!

We went for a walk and let the kids play at the park.  They thought playing on Matt's boat was pretty cool.
On Monday night, the Captain thought it would be pretty cool to sleep outside with the kids.  They got all bundled up so the mosquitos wouldn't eat them.  Let's just say the night didn't go very well.  The Captain came in around 10, feeling good because all the kids were sleeping.  We told him he couldn't leave them out by themselves.  About 15 minutes later Abi was crying.  He went out to get her, brought her in and put her to bed in Louise's bed.  About 30 minutes after that Izzy and Benson were at the door.  Apparently Izzy woke up, got scared, and woke Benson up and they came in.  Izzy got in her bed and Benson went back outside with Papi to finish their campout.

One night Mike went for a drive with his high school buddy, Dave.  They drove around their old stomping grounds.

On Wednesday we drove to Quebec.  We stopped at a McDonald's, mostly because I wanted a drink, and let the kids play for a while.

We stopped by to see his Aunt Edith and then went to see his Grandpa.  He has Alzheimer's and didn't know who we were and kept asking us, but it was still great to see him.

Wednesday night we stayed at Antoinne and Cora's house.  Antoinne is also an animal lover so Izzy gets along great with him.  He has ducks, chickens, bunnies, dogs, geese, tons of animals.  Plus toys animals to play with too.  Abi came along with us so Izzy had a playmate.

And the best part is that Cora has a horse.  Thursday morning we went to the stable and Izzy was in heaven.  She loved brushing Dream and getting her ready to ride.

All smiles.

I think Cambry might have a love too.

Izzy loved riding.

Cambry and Izzy went for a ride together.

Thursday afternoon we went to a house Mike's parents rented.  It was awesome everyone had their own bedroom/bathroom, there was a large kitchen, basement play area, heated pool, and trampoline.  We couldn't ask for anything better. For some reason, I didn't take many pictures. On Friday we went to the Granby Zoo.  It's a really cool zoo; there is an amusement park and a waterpark all in one.  Mike's dad's uncle founded it or something so we get free tickets everytime we go.

Izzy thought it was pretty neat touching the snake.
Of course, there were lots of carousel rides.
They had mini bumper cars, that were pretty neat for kids.

She thought it was fun to drive herself.

Cambry was so excited to see Zeke.  It has been so fun having them in the basement and watching them become best buds.  It took Cambry a little while to realize who he was and then all of the sudden she started yelling, "Zeke, Zeke!" with a huge smile on her face.

These two played so well together. I can't think of one fight we had to break up.

On Saturday evening was the Galipeau family reunion.  They had it at a city center, which had a really cool playground and soccer fields.

Trying to get all the cousins to take a picture
Benson, Zeke, Izzy, Cambry, Elodie, Abi, Charles, Tyler

Cambry loves chasing balls!

There was even a BMX course there.  One of Mike's cousins had his bike so Mike took it for a spin.

The kids thought it was pretty cool to watch.

I love Mike's cousin, Cora.  She speaks really good English so we chat a lot.  She brought her boyfriend to the reunion, I don't remember his name (he only spoke French).

Mike and Uncle Dan in his Grandpa's restored Mustang.

On Monday Matt and Mike went out early to go fishing for the third time.  They caught the most fish this time.

Can you tell he's excited?!

The cousins enjoyed one more day of playing and hanging out.  Our flight didn't leave til 4:50, which was awesome because I got all of our laundry done.  It was so nice to come home with clean clothes!

Saying goodbye.  Cambry loves to pull her hair in her face and twist it around her binkie.  She does it All.the.time.

The flight from Detroit to Salt Lake was 4 hours and it was pure heaven.  Cambry fell asleep before we even took off and as we were taking off, Izzy took off her headphones, turned off the Ipad, and said I'm tired. A few minutes later she was out too.  They both slept til we landed.  Couldn't ask for a better return trip.
We had a great time visiting family and can't wait to see them again soon!!
