Bryce Canyon

Mike's friend, Sam Noel, was finishing the Grand 2 Grand Race, which is a 177 week long foot race.  The race would be finishing near Bryce Canyon, so we decided it would be a fun family vacation to go watch him cross the finish line and spend some time in Bryce.  Izzy was super excited that she got to miss school on Friday.  Matt was also in town, so he came down with us.  We loaded up Friday morning and headed down.
The first sight of red rock as we were driving to Bryce.

When we got there we ate lunch and then went into Bryce.  First, we went to Bryce Point.  The views were breathtaking.  I had never seen anything like that.  We did some hiking and walking around, but we weren't really dressed for hiking, so we headed to the Best Western Plus hotel.
Doesn't get any prettier than this.

The girls had been begging to swim, so we headed to the pool and then grabbed dinner.

After dinner we went back into Bryce and went to Sunset Point; the view was still gorgeous.
Sunset Point

We headed back to the hotel, put the kids to bed and watched a movie.  They were so excited to all be sleeping in the same room, they thought the hotel was pretty cool.  There was a pull out couch for Matt to sleep on and fortunately the bathroom was huge so we were able to put Brielle's pack n play in there.

Saturday morning Mike and Matt headed to the race finish line and I stayed behind with the girls.  We went to the breakfast buffet at the hotel and then they wanted to go to the pool at 8:45 am.  We had to wait til 9 for it to open.  It was so cute watching them play in the water.  My favorite part was when they would play swim lessons and Izzy would teach Cambry how to swim.  After the pool we walked to the local shops.  They played in the pretend jail, rode the horse, and ate ice cream.

She can find a horse wherever she goes.
Around noon we met up with Mike and Matt and went back into Bryce to do some more hiking around Sunset Point.  The views were spectacular and I'm sure we will go back in the future, especially because Izzy didn't get to go horseback riding.  She wanted to so bad, but she had to be 7 because of insurance purposes, which she did not understand. Next time...
On Sunday evening we enjoyed a nice walk to Tuscana and the girls enjoyed playing on the swings. They tried to go as high as Daddy!

Mami and Papi visit

Louise and Richard came out to visit for a couple of weeks.  They arrived on Wednesday night; the girls were so happy for them to get here.

On Friday, I went to Swiss Days with some friends and they watched the kids.  This was the first time I had left Brielle for more than a couple of hours.  I was nervous about how she would be and of course she was fine.  When I got home, both Brielle and Cambry were napping! It was so nice to get out of the house for a while!!
These two love to play together!
Papi loved spending time Brielle.
It's always fun to have grandparents around.

On Saturday we went to the Provo Rec Center and Brielle went swimming for the first time!! Usually i just leave her in the carseat because I can't watch the other girls and her at the pool, but since there were plenty of helpers, she got to join in the fun!  She had a great time splashing around.
Monday was Labor Day so we took the kids to Trafalga.  They loved riding all the outdoor rides, we should go there more often.

Of course Izzy loved rock climbing.
Pirate ship and carousel.
She got to drive the car by herself, which she thought was pretty neat.
Flying!
Monday was the last day snow cone places were open, so we had to get one! It's one treat I love because I can get sugar free flavors.
We went to the Animal Farm, which is always a hit with the kids.
Cambry is taking after her big sister with her love for horses.
Brielle just goes with the flow.
On Thursday Mike went to the temple with his BYU teammates (Dabo, Cloward, Chambers, Mike, Paul, Ranger, and Blair).  Afterward, they played 18 holes of golf and then we met at Chambers' for dinner.
Izzy and Dylan play so well together.
Friday night was dinner on the field and an alumni baseball game.  Mike didn't play because his arm was bothering him.
Daddy's little girl.
I sat with Jamie Dabo during the game and her daughter was the baby whisperer with Brielle.
Papi and Cambry enjoyed performing stunts.
Sunday was my 32nd birthday!  I wasn't too excited about having my birthday on a Sunday, but it ended up being great because Mike was home the whole day to entertain the kids and I could just relax and read a book.
Brielle is getting ready to crawl.
Mike's parents left on Tuesday.  It was a great week and the girls had a fun time with Mami and Papi.

Brielle is 6 months

This little girl continues to be such an easy, happy, smily, baby and I love it!! I don't want to say the transition to 3 has been easy because of course it's more time taking another kid with you, but seriously she is so chill it has made it pretty easy.

Sleep:  She is finally consistently sleeping through the night, yay!! She sometimes wakes up around 4 or 5, but I just give her a binkie and she goes back to sleep til about 7:15 when she wakes up to eat.  It is so nice to be sleeping through the night!

Food: She started rice cereal and baby food.  She eats the rice cereal in the evening and baby food in the afternoon.  The first thing she tried was pears, which she didn't seem to like, but since then she has had carrots, apples, and sweet potatoes and all of those have been successes.  She is also still nursing, but the schedule of that is changing because of the addition of solids, so one feeding has been dropped!  So she eats at: 7:30, 11, 2:30, 6:30 and then I still wake her up around 10:30pm.

She is rolling all over the place and getting up on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth and scooting back.  I think we will have a crawler soon!!

She is such a cutie and we love her so much!!

Weight: 17 lbs 4 oz (65%)
Height: 27.4 inches (91%)
She is by far by thinnest baby.
Izzy is such a great big sister and loves to feed her.
The joy of being the third, she just has to take her naps wherever and she does!

She went swimming for the first time.  Usually she just sits in her stroller and watches because I can't handle all 3 by myself, but since we had plenty of adults at the Provo Rec Center she got to join in the fun!
Can't believe she is 6 months!!
Her sisters love to make her laugh!
