Testimony

On Sunday Izzy decided she wanted to talk during primary.  Our neighbor is in the Primary presidency and Izzy knows her very well.  So Emily let Izzy sit up front with the other kids who had prepared talks/scriptures.  Apparently Izzy walked up to the microphone and said, "I love my family, I listen like the white horse (we showed her a video about a white horse who listened-best FHE ever), I love horses" and then Emily helped her with the rest.  I guess the week before one of her friends, Ellie, was giving the talk so Izzy wanted to sit up front with Ellie and she got to say the prayer.  So this week she gave her testimony who knows what next week will bring!
I love this little girl and how outgoing she is!!  She makes her parents so proud!

Six months

I can't believe my baby is six months.  They grow so fast!  Today she had her 6 month check-up and shots, which I never enjoy.

Love that smile!

Just chillin' with the arm propped up

Before her shots, love those rolls

Height: 27.2 inches (92%)
Weight: 17 pounds 3 ounces (74%)
Head Circumference: 44.3 cm (91%)

Eating: She is still nursing and has also started solids, which I love because it allows me more freedom. So far she has eaten: rice cereal, apples, carrots, pears, sweet potatoes, and peas.  She has loved everything except peas.  She eats them, but I wouldn't say she loves them.
Sleeping:  She goes to bed around 8, I wake her up around 10 before I go to sleep to feed her, and then she wakes up between 5-7 to eat.  If she gets up at 5 she goes back to sleep til 730 or 8 and if she wakes up at 7 to eat then she's up for the day.  She takes a morning nap around 9 for 45 minutes, then an afternoon nap for 2 hours from 1230-230 and then a short 30 min evening nap around 5.  I decided I wanted her to start falling asleep on her own.  Usually I wrap her, give her a binkie, and rock her for 5-10 min and she's out.  I don't mind doing it, I actually enjoy the quiet time with her, but the problem is I have to be the one to put her to sleep.  So I decided it's time for her to do it on her own.  So this morning I wrapped her up gave her a binkie and laid her in her crib and left.  She fell asleep within a few minutes with no crying.  Same thing happened for bedtime.  It can't be that easy, right?  I was prepared for lots of tears.  We will see how it continues.
Travel:  She took her longest road trip to date-Las Vegas.  She was a champ in the car; didn't make a peep.  She went boating for her first time on Lake Mead and was great.
Temperament: She is still a really happy, easy going baby.  Izzy loves to make her laugh and Cambry loves to be tickled by Izzy.  She rolls all over the floor, there is no stopping her.  She continues to squawk, she wants to be heard.  She is such an awesome baby; if they were all this easy, I'd have 10 of them....if I didn't have to be pregnant :)

Mother's Day

We didn't do much for Mother's Day because we were in Vegas.  Our friends who watched Izzy, the Chambers, were nice to let us eat Mother's Day dinner with them when we picked Izzy up.  We didn't get to take any pictures on Mother's Day so we took some this past Sunday.

Love my cute little girls.

We need a photographer so we can get one with the whole family, so this will just have to work.

Matching dresses are the best.
I love being a mom to these 2 girls.  It is the best thing in the world.  I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a mom and all the things they teach me.

We all know Izzy LOVES Tux and that is an understatement.  They are seriously best buds.  Almost daily Izzy takes a nap with Tux.  Today she was so tired I made her just go to bed and didn't let her go downstairs to get Tux.  About 10 minutes after she fell asleep Tux went up and got in bed with her.  I guess the love is mutual.

Preschool

Izzy attended a 2 year old preschool class for the past year and loved it.  She always looked forward to Thursdays and talked about how nice Ms. Carol was.  They made lots of cute arts and crafts, which is great because I suck at doing crafty things.  I can't believe the year has ended, but she will love going to the 3 year old class next year with several of her friends from the neighborhood.

First day of preschool compared to the last day of preschool.  I think her face looks so much older.  I don't want my baby to grow up!

So many tears because I made her wear this outfit.  She wanted to wear her horse shirt (which she wants to wear everyday).

So sad, such a mean mom!

Seriously though, I have 2 girls, of course I want them to wear cute matching outfits every now and then! Sorry Izzy, it's not everyday.

Vegas

We headed to Vegas Mother's Day Weekend with five couples from our neighborhood.  We left Izzy with some friends and took Cambry.  It's always hard for me to leave Izzy, but it is a nice break and I always come back feeling rejuvenated.

Cambry was a doll on the drive down and back.  She slept, ate, and just chilled.  She is an awesome baby!  Traveling with her is a delight.

We took the boat with us and on Friday we went to Lake Mead.  The lake was awesome, the weather was perfect and the water was almost perfect (it was still a bit chilly, but not bad).  Surfing was so much fun, I forgot how much I loved it!
LOVE being on the boat! Can't wait for the summer!
Surfing was much easier this summer, without a pregnant belly!
He is so much better at surfing than me!
Soaking up the rays.

Saturday the guys went golfing and the girls lounged around the pool.  I'm not sure why I don't have any pics.  Saturday night we went to the strip.  Cambry hanging out with Daddy.

You can't go to Vegas and not do some shopping.  Brian gets an awesome discount at Mac, so we all got some new make-up.

Kristy and Emily waiting for make-overs.

Love these girls!  I'm so lucky to have such a great group of girlfriends.

The boys are good sports to tag along on our shopping adventures.

The whole group.

Izzy was so excited to see us when we got home; I think the best part of coming home is when they run up in your arms and give you a big hug.  She was excited to see Cambry too and was helping Cambry dance. Thanks to the Chambers for watching Izzy!
I love these two.  We usually aren't in a rush in the morning so most mornings Izzy will lay in bed with Cambry and tell her stories while I get dressed.  Such cuties!
Thanks Browns for an awesome trip!!
